Introduction
This Report makes recommendations regarding the effects on the Alps national parks of the widespread and severe 2003 fires in South-eastern Australia.
An Expert Scientific Panel established by the Australian Alps Liaison Committee canvassed agencies and others for a list of the projects in which they were engaged as a response to the fires. The aggregate list is appended to this Report.
Recommendations are made on policy matters and on potential projects.
